We are having a break over August from any events but to whet your appetite for forthcoming events:
- September – talk from the Royal Society of Chemistry on the results of their in-depth study on why women in science and engineering aren’t remaining in academia
- October 12th, 4pm – forum with IOP president Prof Dame Jocelyn Bell Burnell, voted one of the most inspirational living woman scientists of all time in an online poll run by the New Scientist
- November 19th, 4 pm – forum with Prof Karen Steel, recently elected Fellow of the Royal Society, the UK’s most prestigious scientific organisation.
The events will all most likely be held in the Senior Common Room bar in the Queens Building. We really hope to see you there!
