As the 8th of March, International Women’s day, approaching so are the WOW events.
WOW – Women of the World – is a global festival that celebrates the achievements of women and girls and also looks at the obstacles that prevent them from achieving their potential and contributing to the world. It looks at the most potent topics for women today across many fields including in politics, the arts, economics, fashion, science, health, sport, business and education. It presents the very best of recognised and emerging female talent, and has presented in the past Alice Walker, Annie Lennox, Sarah Brown, Julie Walters, Bianca Jagger, Liberia’s Minister of Agriculture Florence Chenoweth, Zainab Salbi, Angélique Kidjo, Eve Ensler and Sinéad O’Connor amongst many others.
WOW – started in 2011 and has continued to grow each year both in volume and variety of topics it raises.
The WOW weekend is for everybody and this year you can join the WOW event whether:
